DC vs. KKR: Delhi defeats Kolkata in Super Over

On reaching the climax of dramatic and adventurous, the Prithvi was out for 99 runs in the match but on the threshold of win, Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in Super Over on Saturday. Coming close to the huge goal of 186 runs for victory, Delhi could not make six runs in the last over. The scores of both teams were on equal footing and the match stretched to super over.
In the last over, Delhi needed six runs but on the first ball Hanuman Vihari scored another and Colin Ingram scored two runs. No run was scored on the third ball while a one run in the fourth ball. At the next ball, Vihari gave a catch to Shubhaman Gill and after an run of the last ball, Ingram was run out. In Super Over, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer could score 10 runs for Delhi while Iyer's wicket taken by famous Krishna.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders, with the help of 53 runs in 53 balls with Andre Russell's catastrophic innings and captain Dinesh Karthik, made 185 for eight wickets, recovering from a poor start. The KKR debut was very poor and its half-team pavilion had returned in the 10th over when the score was just 61 runs on the boad. Russell and Karthik then took the innings and only 95 runs in 53 balls.
Russell, running in good form, opened his hand in the 11th over hit a six in Amit Mishra over. At the end of the 12th over by Sandeep Lemichane Karthik chipped in with a four and Russall hit two sixes and got 17 runs. Herschel Patel gave twenty runs in the first three overs but in his last over, Karthik hit four and Russall hit two longest six in his 20th over. Russell hit the four by completing his fifty in 23 balls with the help of two fours and six fours. He was dismissed by Chris Maurice on his last ball and Rahul Tewatia took a catch in the fine leg, although he collided with Rabada but the ball did not miss him. After completing half century in 35 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes, Mishra caught the ball on the ball behind Pant.
